Location: Cane Garden Bay, Tortola
Today aboard Magpie Bridge we had half of a rotation day, consisting of activities like diving, wakeboarding, learning how to make Turk’s Head bracelets, and also about preserving the environment. During the dive we did our final skills and we left the water as certified open water divers. Today we also went wakeboarding/waterskiing/kneeboarding which was loads of fun. Also we learned how to make Turk’s Head bracelets which was fun, but difficult. We ended the rotation day with a lesson about recycling plastics and how it affects the environment. After our rotations were over we left Muskmelon and traveled to Cane Garden Bay. Though we were almost the last to leave we were able to travel on a run, performing a wing on wing maneuver (when the main is in the wind one way and the jib in another) and became one of the first to reach the bay, where we refilled our water tanks and anchored for the night. Overall it was a nice, partly cloudy day.
