Location: Great Harbor, Jost van Dyke
Today we woke up from a great sleep in musk melon, ate breakfast, and headed out on the dinghy to attempt to turtle tag! The first group in the water was me (Aline), Scarlett, Charley, Emily, Brooke, and Joe. We hung onto ropes on the back of the dinghy while it drove, trying to spot the turtles. It was super fun, especially when turtles were found, although we weren’t successful in catching them. After everyone got the chance to spot turtles, we got to hang on to the ropes behind the dinghy and go super fast. It was so fast that Brooke and I fell off. After this, we went on a dive, where the dolphins had our first research dive for the research project, and the Neptunes had a fun dive where Connor and Holden saw a devil ray! During the ocean shower after the dive, Maya, Laragh, and Scarlett were flipping off the dinghy, and Connor got a haircut. Overall this day was super fun and interesting! Tomorrow we have another barbecue which were all super excited for!
