Hello everyone, today it’s Arthur writing about our day. Today, our day started earlier because we had to move to a new anchor point. We ddidn’tall need to get up till seven oo’clockish, but the rocking and moving of the boat woke everyone up earlier than usual. After everyone got up, we realized that only one bathroom was fully working and the staff’s bathroom was leaking; for some reason, one of the girls and one of the boy’s bathrooms was backing up (probably due to excess toilet paper usage). For breakfast today, we had yogurt and bagels, which weren’t anything fancy, but they were still quite yummy. Today was another rotation day, and we started it out by doing water sports. As always, River was doing his thing wakeboarding; he has gotten a lot better since the first rotation day. Dillon, Sahil, and I all tried to do water skiing but had no luck standing up. For our next activity, we went scuba diving. Today was our first ever open water dive. In the water, we saw lots of different types of coral and fish. We all dived in groups of three and an instructor, my group consisted of Avery, River and I, our instructor was JT (the best one). While diving Grace and Kaya had an underwater dance party, unfortunately Michelle who was part of their group ccouldn’tjoin in due to having trouble equalizing her ears while diving. When we came back to Beso for lunch, our bathrooms were all in good working condition thanks to the Poopy Master, Jake. For lunch, we had chicken ramen noodles. After lunch, our next activity was zesting.
While zesting Carlie and Lelia got flipped by some other kids on a different boat, nobody was hurt and they all laughed it off. Alivia helped Will chase down any rogue zests that were going to far out into the ocean. After zesting we had a navigation talk with Aidan, we learned about life jackets and different parts of the boat, he taught us how to use the chart on the power tower(basically the drivers seat of the boat). For our last meal of the day, we had a delicious Mexican night, which was made by ttoday’schefs, Laurel, Grace, and JT. This was probably my favorite meal I’d had so far, and I’m looking forward to the next Mexican night. Tonight, it looks like it will be nice and calm with a strong breeze. I’m hoping it constrains so I can have a full night of deep sleep.
Cheers,
Arthur, Avery, Alivia, Dillon, Lelia, Sahil, Grace, Michelle, Kaya, Carlie, Laurel and River
