Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Today started off with a viewing of mountain goats over bowls of cereal. Since today was a dive day, Andy, Hannah, and Simon moved the boat closer to shore for diving, so we all had a great morning view of the mountains and land animals. After that, we each set up our dive gear and split up into our different diving groups. For the Vegas, today was their last confined water dive and as an Aquarius student, I worked on buoyancy skills. The divemasters worked on rescue skills and helped some of the younger divers. After we all finished diving and disassembling our gear, we had tortilla soup for lunch. Afterwards, we all did watersports- kneeboarding, wakeboarding, and waterskiing. Meanwhile, we went to the vessel Blue Tide where we continued our sailing lessons with Tom and Elise (Johnny’s sister). Elise taught us all how to make Turk’s Head anklets/bracelets. We enjoyed a dinner of cheddar broccoli pasta while watching the sunset. Now we are cleaning up and then going to learn more about sailing before going to bed.
