Location: Nevis to Antigua
Today we set off from Nevis to Antigua. Over the course of the entirely upwind journey, most of the ship was nauseous because of the pounding waves. During the voyage, some kids sat alongside the port side of the boat and were soaked when we hit waves. The whole boat found humor when one shipmate’s lifejacket inflated after a barrage of water. Combined with the sunburn on the shipmate’s face, they laughed after calling themselves a walking grapefruit aboard Zourite. It took us around 11 hours of slamming into waves and seasickness to finally make it to English Harbor. Even though the day was challenging, we bonded as a team and had a really good time.
