Hi blog! We woke up bright and early at 6 AM in order to get ready for our hike. Everyone quickly got ready, put on sunscreen, and ate breakfast before meeting at the dock at 6:45. After meeting at the dock and getting a little bit of phone time Mike gave us the instructions for the hike and then we were off! The hike started with a really intense uphill battle where a few of us thought we were not going to make it, but after many pauses and water breaks all of glad 2 B here made it up! After the uphill part of the hike was over the rest of it was very calm and scenic. David, Coco and Ellery were at the front of the group and made it all the way to the top before the rest of us. Sloane, Clara, Iris, and Lilly all stayed together and also made it all the way up! David, Bryce, and Gwennie hiked with friends from other boats which was super fun to see more people from other boats. Finally, Blake, Elle, and I stayed together for the hike and after a few accidental detours… we made it back to town! After our 7 mile hike through the mountains we finally arrived to our end destination which was Cane Garden Bay. At Cane Garden Bay, there were shops, restaurant’s, and a market where the week long hunt for avocados finally came to an end. After everyone had caught up with their family and friends from home we all sat down together and ate land food! Then at around 1 pm our time on land was over and we quickly hurried back to the boat to get off the mooring ball and head over to the beach on another island for our very intense sand castle building competition. Instead of making a castle for the sand castle competition, we decided to turn Blake into a mermaid by burying him in the sand, making a tail, decorating it with shells, and ending the tail with seaweed. Then David told Blake the mermaids origin story to the entire group but unfortunately we robbed off first place and did end up placing last… but ours was definitely the best. Then all of glad 2 B here chicken-fighted in the water before getting picked up by the dinghy and brought back to the boat. We quickly then got ready for our Barbecue at Sidney’s Peace and Love and formed a mega raft with all of the boats. The barbecue was super fun and our entire boat stayed together and ate together at one table before splitting off and talking to other boats which was really nice. Everyone got really cool t shirts at the shop next store and we once again saw Will have his moment on the dance floor to pink pony club. After the barbecue was over we were allowed to hang out on the other boats for 30 minutes so a lot of us went over to our friends boat and got to sit on their catamarans and talk for awhile before coming back to our boat and getting ready for bed. Since the boats were all tied together in the mega raft, even when we were on our own boats were still 2 feet away from all the other boats so we ended the nights all sitting on the ends of our boats and attempting to trade snacks by tossing them over which was somewhat successful. Overall today was a super fun and packed day and definitely the best one yet.
