Location: Cane Garden Bay, Tortola
Yay today is chaos day! We all woke up bright and early to move our boat from Sommer’s beach back to Muskmellon which we were at the day before. This wake up was much calmer than the wake up we had at 2 in the morning from a torrential downpour. This rain was the first of the session and of course it was also the one night me and Anna decided to leave the roof open when we were sleeping outside. Once we were at Muskmellon, we quickly ate cereal for breakfast before going to the dive boat (Hope) to do scuba diving at 8 am. David, Elle, Anna, and I (the Quest kids) were doing a discovery scuba dive. This was our first real dive and we went 30 feet. Meanwhile, Clara, Sloane, Blake, Bryce, Ellery, Gwynnie, Lily, and Iris (the Vega kids) were getting their open water certification from this dive. During the Vega dive, they were a celebratory dance party 30 feet deep after they received their certification. After our dive, we headed over to the Oryx and Harbour House Out raft to start the activities and raft party. There was zesting, paddle boarding, water sports, and a boom swing. We got to see a lot of the other boats and did all those activities until lunch. Lunch today was delicious chicken and cheese quesadillas made by the best Emma. After lunch, we were all surprised with a short hike through a steep and rocky trail up to the top to look down on Muskmellon Bay. Even though it was super steep, no one fell down the hill! After our small hike, we all took our fresh water showers and began our move to Cane Garden Bay! We stopped at the dock to refill our water. During that time, Ellery’s prayers were answered and we finally got ice for our water. After the dock, we found a mooring ball to stay on for the night. The chefs (David and Ellery) started making dinner which was pesto pasta with chicken, but they had help from me, Anna, and Elle too. Anna and I made our famous daily dinner salad with chickpeas, apples, cucumbers, carrots, and tomatoes. Sadly, even after emergency hailing all boats around us for brownie mix we were still desert-less. This is when we all decided to improvise and add a new item added to our desert menu. Ellery, Anna, and me cheffed up and made a massive pancake cake that was stacks of pancakes with many coats of Nutella. The pancake mountain was then devoured in less than 5 minutes. After our pancake cake, we had a sail chat with Will. Glad 2 Be Here ended the night with a music party and mentally preapring for our hike tomorrow!
