Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
After a very, umm, interesting night with Haden’s lovely and concussive snoring in all of our ears, we woke up in Great Harbor Yost on the north side of Tortola. We took a short 45-minute motor sail to the “Playgrounds,” a beautiful dive site where we anchored to a mooring ball. Ashton and Hayden made some delectable French toast, and with the smell of cinnamon radiating from the boat and everyone’s stomachs full of toast, we got kitted up for our first dive of the day. The dolphins had their second research dive of the trip while the Neptune took a fun exploration dive with the best dive instructor in the fleet, Mr. Mac, himself. After de-kitting, we had a very pleasant motor over to a small island called “Sandy Spit”, where we dropped anchor. After some super cheesy Macaroni lunch, the dolphins went for their second dive, where they worked on their research projects that are due tomorrow. The Neptunes went over the inner workings of scuba equipment with our skipper, “Jake,” where we learned how regulators and BCDs actually work. After everyone returned, we took a very refreshing boat-wide swim where we all jumped and spun off the side of the boat. We then got prepared for the fleet-wide beach BBQ on Sandy Spit, where we had burgers and hotdogs and a whole lot of socializing. When we returned to our boat, however, we discovered a fishing net strone all over our boat and the smell was revolting… we had been pranked by another boat in the fleet, and we will not stand for that. We are devising a plan to get back at them as I write this, and we will keep you all posted. Goodnight from Good Times.
Love you Mom and Dad❤️
