Welcome Aboard!
Location: West End, Tortola
We’ve been preparing the boats and getting ready, and we can’t wait to get out on the water with you! Here is our team!
Jake is a skipper and dive instructor and first joined AQ as a student in 2016, and in 2020 he became a PADI dive instructor. Towards the end of 2022, he completed his Yachtmaster certification. Jake graduated from Rollins College with a degree in Business Management in December and has been working on a tall ship in Maryland since then. Growing up in New Hampshire, he spent a lot of time snow skiing and water skiing and is excited to teach students how to waterski in addition to diving and sailing. His favorite diving is in the British Virgin Islands, and he can’t wait to share the beauty of the underwater world with fellow divers. He is also very excited to have the opportunity to give new AQ students the same fantastic experience he had as a student for so many summers!
Anna is a dive master and marine biologist returning to AQ this summer after teaching the Dolphin program in 2021, and she is so excited to be back! She is originally from San Luis Obispo, California, and has worked as a marine naturalist, field researcher, and scientific illustrator around the world. She received her B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley, in Conservation and Resource Studies, and while in school, she had the opportunity to spend a semester on S/Y Ocean Star. She quickly fell in love with diving and sailing and went on to get her Divemaster in 2018 on Magnetic Island in Australia. Her work has taken her to places including French Polynesia, Hawaii, San Diego, and the Farallon Islands. Anna has a master’s certificate in Science Illustration from Cal State University, Monterey Bay, and she loves to use art as a way to communicate environmental biology. Some of her favorite things to paint are tropical fish and plants. She is excited to share her love of marine biology, sailing, and diving this summer!
Mac is a dive instructor and loves the ocean and chasing adrenaline rushes. He began diving in 2017, whereafter receiving his first diving certification. After 2020, Mac wanted to pursue a professional career that could allow him to travel and be in the ocean, which turned him back to his interest in diving. Becoming a PADI instructor is something that Mac is very proud of, and he enjoys sharing his passion for the sea and scuba diving with anyone that shares that common interest. He looks forward to meeting everyone this summer and being on a great team.
