Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound

Today was CHAOS DAY. This meant that we started off the day challenging Shamwari (the boat we rafted with) to a boat obstacle course race. This started with a dinghy swim where Maia, Alex, Gabe, Wylie, Nathan, and I flipped off the dinghy and hopped back in to be pulled in by Anna and William. Then Arthur was up in a solo race for bowline tying, followed by Lainey on Fender rodeo and Julia on a paddle board noodle joust. Lastly was Bryce for a battle of the minds. This experience provided us with an immense learning opportunity as we faced a devastating loss.
BDV then headed over to Friendship, where William and Wylie went testing, and the rest of us did water sports or used our time to amplify our energy by resting our eyes in order to fire on all cylinders the rest of the day.
We then went back to our boat, where we had lunch and our first freshwater showers of the trip to burn all the bacteria from our skin mixed with a dance party.
Shortly after, we picked up anchor, moved to Leverick Bay, and refueled. Then we picked up a mooring ball, where we got our phones for the first time. I used my time to talk to my family, which was long-awaited, and I think we were all very relieved to talk to our loved ones. After a very quick hour, we gave our phones back and got ready for the barbecue. Most of us got all dressed up, and we took a family portrait (see below.)
We hopped in the dinghy and waited in line for food which we enjoyed with these fascinating people that managed to convince all of AQ, it seems, that they were with us, only revealing the jig at the end. We danced the night away and mingled with people from other boats. We also got the opportunity to enjoy (virgin) piña coladás, mojítos, and stráwberry dáiquiris. We finished off the night with a squeeze (bonding moment while holding hands) on land and a very reasonable bedtime.
