Location: Anegada

Competition day, let’s go, baby!!!!! Today was the Boat Olympics, a series of challenges pitting boats in a vicious rivalry. We woke up in Anegada, a dry and dusty wasteland, home to our glorious battle! Lainey and Maia whipped up a most scrumptious meal, the french toast, a breakfast of champions! After quickly cleaning up, we sped over to the beach to prepare for battle. We put our war paint on (intimidation 1000), writing messages such as “Last Words” and “Prepare to Die.” Wylie used some war paint in a very decorative manner, painting tales of old on his stomach.

The first competition was the paddle board joust, a competition in which contestants were nominated to fight to the death using pool noodles. We nominated Alexandre, a great and noble warrior from lands far to the east, to fight as our representative. He, however, fell to the treachery of clan Avizia. Next, we had a fender rodeo, a competition in which warriors must find inner chi and balance on boat fenders! Our great warrior, Julia, managed to prevail against all odds. Next was a competition in which warriors must dig a trench underneath obstacles and scale up the slippery dinghy of death! Clan members Arthur, Molly, Nathan, Gabe, and Alex fought tirelessly, despite attacks from clan Friendship saboteurs. The carnage became too devastating, so the grand elders were forced to end the event. Then came the most grueling event of all, the Tug-o-WAR! The battles we faced, what we experienced. We pulled with all our might, and Bryce and Anna encouraged us further, reinforcing our Bushido spirit. We then emerged…victorious!!!! After a glorious celebration, feasting on PBandJ’s, we sailed off across the mightiest of waves! We then found peace in a beautiful refuge called Mountain’s Point, a place akin to Valhalla. After a warming meal known as Risotto and Chicken Salad and drinking Arnold Palmer mead, we listened to Elder Gary’s tales of the ocean and what lay deep below….
