Hiii everyone! Today was a very exciting day. Nathan was awoken with a very nice happy birthday song from all his shippies and staff 🥳 (he turns 18 today). Shortly after, a special egg and blueberry muffin breakfast was prepared by Molly and Arthur, hyping us up from the day. We dinghied our way over to Blisspoint (the staff boat), where an awesome rope swing was set up for us. All of us tested it out, and Wylie showed off his backflip skills and taught William and me how to do one from the rope swing! All the other boats also joined in on the fun, and we had a nice morning swimming, zesting, swinging, and tanning. A member of Shamwari was kind enough to give many of the girls henna tattoos. Lainey, Molly, Maia, and I all got cute little suns on our bodies while Alex, Arthur, Nathan, William, and Wylie went water skiing and wakeboarding. We made it back on our boat for lunch, where we had delicious chicken quesadillas prepared by Emma and Gary. After replenishing our energy, it was finally dive time! Today we tested our buoyancy skills and successfully finished all the dives necessary to be called advanced scuba divers 😎. During today’s dive, we were split into underwater groups where we had to complete buoyancy-related activities, such as swimming through a hula hoop and using our regulators to knock down weights without touching the ground. Gabe and Anna did some cool scuba backflips, and Bryce’s body surfed on top of Stick (one of the dive masters). We ended our dive with underwater fin fights and moonwalking, putting everyone in a silly mood. After the dive, we took some quick freshwater showers and made our way to Cane Garden Bay, where we will be docking for the night. Molly and Arthur cooked up some yummy chicken curry. During dinner, we also had a chaotic show. Four skippers had to unclog a post-chilly night head (bathroom in boat talk), and it was pretty hilarious🫘💩🚽. On a sweeter note, we enjoyed brookies for Nathan’s bday and got all boats to sing a final group happy birthday for him. The night was closed off with a sailing chat and squeeze 🙂
