Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound

We started the day bright and early and got in some good cereal and yogurt while listening to relaxing tunes. We effectively got ready for the day while the councilors were at a team meeting. We all went to get Zesty on the little sailboats, and while some people flipped and had to get rescued (teams Lilly and Iris, and Gwynnie and Blake), everyone had fun. People were all laughing, even when in trouble, like Sloane and Clara. Coco and Elle got on the dinghy with Will and had to come rescue everyone. Some, after sailing, went to build sand castles, namely Elle, Anna, and Blake. We all came back to Glad To Be Here to learn how to tie knots. We learned five knots (bowline, round turn and two halves hitches, clove hitch, cleat hitch, and figure eight), where Bryce and Lilly thrived. Later, we had a big pot of craft Mac and cheese for lunch, put on tons of sunscreen, and got ready to snorkel. We all got on the dinghy and went to see the coral, seaweed, and wildlife. First, we got flippers and went swimming by the shore and saw the first turtle of the day. On the dinghy ride back, we saw a spotted eagle ray flying out of the water. Back on the boat, we went right into water sports, where David did a 360 on a knee board, and Ellery was a master of the water skis; she skied one-handed and watched the flying fish while putting the pedal to the metal. When people were all sported out, we came back to shower and have a dinner of veggie burgers, mashed potatoes, and salad. While eating the wildlife was insane, there were many turtles close to the boat, and Clara spotted the flying flamingos. There was a barracuda at the dishy pit and a bean incident with Anna, Clara, Sloane, Iris, and David, who cleaned up the mess.
(Hi, it’s Coco. Tell Sailor I say happy belated birthday, and I love him so much!!!)
