Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound

We all woke up to our chill morning music playlist. By now, we have different playlists for every mood and activity. Iris, Gwynnie, Sloane, Clara, Lilly, and David all slept downstairs in the Saloon, while others slept upstairs on the deck. Clara was able to hang a hammock and sleep downstairs in the Saloon, something that had never been attempted at ActionQuest. We had a great breakfast of yogurt, bagels, granola, peanut butter, and jelly. Everyone also brought some of the snacks they had bought in Spanish Town to breakfast. Today we had our first rotation day, where we had tons of fun activities. Our first activity was paddleboarding at 8 am. David and Blake had fun flipping off the paddle boards while the rest of us had the hardest workout of our lives trying to paddle. Coco and Elle teamed up on one board and discovered that Coco could kick while Elle paddled, making the fastest team by far. At 10, we did water sports where we got to try waterskiing, kneeboarding, and wakeboarding. Clara was able to do a 360 on the Kneeboard, and Sloane did a 180. Iris and Ellery impressed everyone when they were the only people who got up on the waterskis. Next at 12, we had a lunch of chicken salad and PB&J, which we all loved so much we ran out of bread and ate it on tortillas. After lunch at one, we did our first water scuba diving lesson. We got to learn basic training and skills, where those of us doing the Vega program learned as part of their certification. The quest students, David, Coco, Anna, and Elle, learned their skills so fast that they were the first group done. After three, we sailed to Vixon point, where we had the best swim in super clear water. We all did flips off of the dinghy (that we call Junior), where Bryce did some of the best backflips and dives we’ve ever seen. Blake tried some twists, too, some of which were successful. Then we had another saltwater shower off the end of the boat. We started the end of our day with Beef Stroganoff, which became a group favorite. At dinner, we were also joined by a sea turtle and a flamingo. We ended the day with the Forum.
