Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Hey, it’s Maxwell again as skipper today. Today, we woke up to some rave music from Tony and made some oatmeal and fruit, which is honestly my favorite breakfast. We then sailed to our first scuba spot to finally get our open water diving certification, the spot was called shark cove and was one of the most beautiful spots I’ve seen this trip. My instructor, Garrison, helped me understand how to perform CESA and showed me around the beautiful reef, on our dive we saw many unique fish and animals like eels, stingrays, parrotfish and even a baby Lion fish. After our dive, we went back to our boat, and Tony took some of us to do water sports. Oona, Mason, Nat, and I all tried knee boarding, which was super fun, and after, we got to do zoomies, which made it even better. When we finished doing Zoomies, Tony dropped us off at Meow or Never, where we set up a swing on the boon and tried doing backflips off it. Midway through the swinging, it started pouring rain, and Orion, Cassia, Mario, and Mason jumped in and swam around for a long time. The rain made it so fun, and it was honestly one of the best times I had just swimming around. For lunch, we made chicken and cheese quesadillas, which were actually so good, and I had like 3 of them. We jumped in for the last time and showered off to wait for dinner, we listened to songs and danced around until Lexi and Mario had to make the Thai red curry which looked questionable at first but turned out to be one of my favorite meals. I helped cook and mixed the ingredients like chicken, coconut milk, and the curry mix in a big pot, everybody loved the meal and I ate so much. I’m so surprised we only have like a week left on this amazing trip, and I’m sad to have to leave soon, but these last few weeks have been the most fun I’ve had in so long. I can’t wait to get sail certified and the boat race at the end of the trip.
Love you so much mom and dad, hope you guys are having fun at home with Lucy, I can’t wait to see you guys soon. LOVE YOU.
