Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda

Hey, I’m Caitlin, and I was the skipper today! Today started early with a sail from Anogada to Mountain Point in Virgin Gorda. The sail started before we even woke up, and before we knew it, we had arrived. A breakfast of bagels started right when we anchored! Then, we kicked off our fourth rotation day with a chat about sailing navigation and ship systems. During this chat, we learned how to find our way around the islands and what to do in boat emergencies, and we learned that we could fit all 12 of us in one of the bathrooms. Our second rotation, and my favorite, was water sports. It was our fourth time doing water sports, and today, Orion got up on the wakeboard for the first time! The rest of us knee-boarded, water-skied, or just rode around on the boat for fun. Then, for lunch, we had grilled cheese. After lunch, we didn’t have much time before we had to go on our second confined water dive. We went to the dive boat, geared up, and hopped in. During this dive, we learned more water skills and practiced some old ones to prepare for our first open water dive, which is coming soon! For our last rotation, we got to go sailing in the mini sailboats, zests. I went out on a boat with Cassia, and ten minutes in, our boat broke! But it was ok because we got to ride around on the dinghy and hang out on the boat. For dinner tonight, the chefs, Mario and Max, made amazing food for Mexican night. This was one of my favorite meals so far. After dinner, we got time to hang out and watch another super pretty sunset before heading to bed!
