Hey everyone! It’s day ten, and Gigi is the skipper today! Today just might have been the best day. It being day ten means that we are halfway through. Sooooo crazy. We woke up at about 6:45 since Mike was coming by to pick up our laundry (finally). We woke up to music as usual, but little did we know there was something else in store. Another boat had pranked all of the other boats in the fleet by putting hot dogs and fish around the boat. Today, we had to use another boat (Graytful) to sail. We left our boat at about eight and left Mountain Point at around 9. Graytful is only 5 feet bigger than our boat but feels SO MUCH bigger. Aside from the difficult sail (which took forever to hoist), it was so nice sailing on a bigger boat. During the sail, we did rotations with Malaku and Mia, doing knots and overall sail theory.
A lot of us slept on our way to the baths (where we were sailing too). It took us about 2 hours to sail, and when we got there, Mason and Oona made ramen, which was so yummy. We stayed for about an hour, swimming, tanning, and having fun. We left the baths at around two and on our way back, Malaku and Mia let us basically sail the boat without their help (end of story — they helped us). The highlight of the sail was Mario pretending to be a gnome. Luckily, when we arrived back at Mountain Point, the cooks started to cook dinner. While they were making dinner, Adrienne and I made a very advanced dance which she taught to Tony after. Tonight, we ate Thanksgiving dinner, which was surprisingly good (thank you, Mason and Oona). After dinner, we all went on the dinghy, which was definitely the highlight of my day. Tony drove really fast, and we stopped in the middle of the water to do the squeeze. Overall, it was such a fun day of sailing, and I can’t believe we are halfway through!
