Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
After a fun Friday night, we woke up with some super yummy French toast made by Andrew and Leonie. It was a great breakfast to prepare us for the big day we had ahead. Today was our sailing practical. After our staff came back from their meeting, we practiced the seven sailing knots we needed to know. Then we set sail, only this time we were on our own. Everybody really took charge, and we decided to sail to Brewers Bay. As co-skippers Jackson and I used our sailing charts 🗺️ to make the plan for us to get there. Zoe, Emilia, and I were the first sweaters. We used our Spider-Man strength to release the jib 💪 🦸♀️(with a little help from Roman). Peter gave us a perfect first tac into the wind and set us up for a great morning of sailing. We took turns on the helm, and while I wasn’t doing a job, I worked on my bracelets with Elsa and Julia. We had a pretty smooth sail to brewers bay and needed very little help from our staff.
After a yummy lunch of chicken wraps and PBandJ 🌯🥪, Campbell took the helm to start sailing us to sandy spit. While sailing, we practiced our man overboard drills with one of our fenders (Fenti the Fender). Thankfully we haven’t had to use our drills yet. Ad hopefully won’t🤞. We got to sandy spit, and Zoe, Roman, and I went to go take our makeup scuba dive🤿 while the others went to the beach to hang out. Diving in sandy spit was amazing. There was a ton of underwater life, and it was gorgeous. After finishing all of our skills, we went to pick the others up. On the way back to the boat, Annika revealed some scary news, Avizia had somehow run out of water 💧❌😱. We had to take our showers on other boats, and Max and Annika are currently going to save our water ✊. We took our knots test tonight, and all passed 💯! We celebrated with rice, beans, salad, and hot dogs for dinner😋 after a long dinner cleanup by today’s dish team (Sadie Julia Emilia Zoe). We are chatting and hanging out on the hard top of our boat. And prepping to pull an awesome TBD prank tonight. (Watch out, Hope)
Bye for now!!
(P.S. Dad, I hope my grammar is better 🩵🩵)
