Location: Sydney's, Jost van Dyke

We started off this morning in a boiling hot Cane Garden Bay with an early cereal breakfast prepared by Sadie and Zoe, who both had a pretty easy day for chefs. After breakfast, we were given our phones back and shuttled to shore in Old Cane Garden, where we prepared to hike Mt. Sage, the highest point in all of the British Virgin Islands. The hike was steep and long, but being at the top was definitely worth it. There was a smoothie bar at the top that a bunch of people stopped at, and I was the first hiker to reach the top, although I was the second to write my name in the book at the top. On the hike down, I saw Roman, Andrew, and Leonie close behind, and in the end, almost all of Avizia had made it to the top (Except Carly, who was having an incredibly exciting clinic run). When we made it back down, it was nearing lunchtime. The preferred meal was a Cheeseburger In Paradise, in the bay the song was written about. I personally had a great lunch with Peter and a few kids from other boats. We all also got to call our parents and be on our phones. After lunch, Elsa and a few others got ice cream, and then it was time for a grocery run. Julia bought a bunch at the grocery store, and Sadie bought 84 hot dogs. Then, we were back on the good ship Avizia, headed to Sandy Cay. On the way there, we got to see Multiverse, the world’s largest expedition yacht, and large it was. Once we were at Sandy Cay, it was time for the sandcastle-building contest.

The competition was tough, but in the end, Avizia pulled through (like always) with a beautifully detailed sculpture of a hot dog. Emilia definitely did a good job as our relish sculptor. After taking first place like the champs we are, Campbell pulled up our anchor, and we headed to a BBQ at Sydney’s Love and Peace. The food was amazing-jerk chicken, pasta salads, beans, and more. Sometime during the BBQ, 84 hot dogs mysteriously appeared on Go Beyond’s boat-can’t imagine how that happened. We also had the opportunity to buy expensive (but worth it) shirts from Sydneys and ten boats all rafted together—just another day in paradise.
