Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
The day started at around 7 o’clock when we woke up to music playing! It was a little rainy when we first woke up, but the weather cleared up later. Then, Roman and Carly started on breakfast. They made French toast which was AMAZING, and everyone ate multiple pieces. After we did the dishes and cleaned up, we got ready for rotation day. The first rotation started at 8, which was waterskiing, wakeboarding, and kneeboarding. Jackson was insane at waterskiing, and Sadie was insane at wakeboarding. However, Emilia and Leonie gave it their best shot but didn’t make it very far. After this activity, our group had paddle boarding. However, with some rain and wind, everyone was super cold, so we went back to the boat instead. We all indulged in a bunch of snacks (per usual) and bonded as a boat. It was a super nice and chill time before lunch!
Then, Carly made Mac n cheese for lunch. After lunch, we then headed to sail on small boats called “zests”. Campbell and Zoe were amazing and had no issue adapting to a smaller boat. Emilia, Julia, Leonie, Elsa, Andrew, Roman, Pete, and Jackson all did well too. Sadie and Carly struggled a little and ended up capsizing. This activity was still fun, and everyone enjoyed themselves. We then went back to the boat for a dive chat. This dive chat was a lot of information, but it wasn’t too bad. Then, we showered and got ready for dinner. Roman and Campbell made veggie burgers and rice, which was amazing! Mike (AQ director) and his wife joined us for dinner, so we dressed up in white for fun. After dinner, we did the dishes and got ready for another dive chat. This dive chat was pretty boring since we just watched a video, but still important! The weather got pretty crazy, and it started to storm. We all were hot and sweaty, but Amanda made it up to us by making delicious brownies. After the dive chat, we ate our brownies and got ready for bed. It was a long and tiring day, but we are ready for another amazing day in the morning!
