We started our day with some good music and an oatmeal breakfast. After that, we jumped right into our day of rotations. First, we started the day with a morning paddle board. It was all fun until the current took Sadie, Peter, and me out too far, and the dinghy had to come and save us. After paddling and playing games in the water, it was time to go to our second rotation. We took a speed ride on the dinghy to our second rotation, a hydration game where we had to take turns drinking water every time the AC/DC song would say thunder. Then we learned how to tie some of the important knots we need to sail and dock our boat. It was low-key rough at first, but everyone helped each other to get the knots perfect. Leonie was a big help in helping me tie my first knots. We practiced our skills by splitting into two teams and seeing who could tie the knots first. After a close race, we cooled off in the ocean. The water is so blue and pretty unlike any water any of us had seen before. Roman, Julia, and Emilia took turns swinging off the boom into the ocean. After that, it was time for rotation three.
We took turns going out on the water with Max and Annika, and we all took a try kneeboarding, wakeboarding, waterskiing, and in Elsa’s case, flying. It defiantly took some tries, but many of us were able to get up knee boarding and skiing. Jackson showed us his amazing waterskiing skills. Wakeboarding was definitely the most challenging, but Campbell and Andrew were super close to getting up and will definitely get it next time. We ended the afternoon by taking our first inclosed dive. It was super cool, but it took a little bit to get the skills right. In my group with Roman and Zoe, we were able to spot a stingray below us! It was super cool to be able to practice what we had been learning in our scuba chats, and we cannot wait for our second dive!
