Day 13 was a great one! We started off our busy day by eating up the last of the oatmeal before settling down for an intensive sail systems chat. Then we headed off to our next rotation, water sports, where Dylan made history by successfully performing TWENTY-SIX 360 spins on the kneeboard. Next, we headed back to Friend Ship for some delicious Mac and cheese crafted by head chef Maggie and sous chef Kaya. It was definitely an improvement from the last time! Today was our 2nd open water dive day, and we’re really starting to get the hang of it, especially after flooding our masks for the Bajillionth time. Cahan even performed an outstanding backflip underwater after he and Aidan dabbed each other up. Our final rotation began with Sophie and Maggie zesting it up. Me and Charlie also took a zest boat out but ended up venturing a tad bit too far, “trying to run away,” and had to be towed back by a dingy. After all the rotations came to a close, we 40/40’d and headed across the rainy seas. “IT WAS A SQUALL OF RAIN!” – Celeste. Katie, Dylan, and Celeste led the dropping of the anchor and, in turn, got a nice freshwater shower. The BBQ was a blast and a half! We played tag and football and witnessed a beautiful sunset. Xander and Eric indulged in an extreme game of tag with everyone. We ended this eventful day with an ocean shower in the dark amongst the bioluminescence. Even though we forgot to squeeze, today was tres bon. “I guess tomorrow we’ll have to do a DSD, a double squeeze day.” – Jimothy
