Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island

At the late hour of 7:30, Friendship was awakened by Valerie by Amy Winehouse. Everyone was pleasantly surprised by Aidan and Xander cooking up some delicious pancakes. After breakfast, there was a meeting containing every staff member. This gave Friendship a chance to show their independence. This cleaning crew was directed by Dylan and did an excellent job at leaving the boat spotless. After the staff members returned, the boat was taken off anchor by Erich so that FriendShip, along with all the other boats, sailed through Marina Cay. We were put on a mooring ball with amazing steering by Celeste. This ride had incredible music taste, led by Maggie. After docking, Bea, Katie, and Cahan enjoyed virgin Pina Coladas from an amazing shoreside restaurant. Celeste and Kaya made a new friend during their shopping spree. This friend was a brown Labrador which our boat named Friendship. While everyone was enjoying time on the land, all of the fleet refilled their water. What all the students believed was only a 2-hour trip ended up becoming a 6-hour excursion. After learning about the coral reef conservation class with Garrison again, FriendShip was able to set sail. During this short sail, Bea and Charly attempted to make instant coffee with cold water and no coffee strainer. The coffee was as good as instant coffee, made with lukewarm water sounds. During our sail to Muskmelon Bay, another boat’s dingy line snapped. James, with the help of Dylan and Celeste, was able to save the boat and return the dinghy. After arriving at Muskmelon Bay, Aidan and Xander cooked up an incredible chili with a slight amount of help from Dylan. During dinner, Maggie and Sophie made Shirley Temples using Sprite and Grenadine bought from a convenience store on shore. We all then ended the day with a dance party.
