Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Hi, my name is Belle, and I am from Ottawa! This morning we were awoken to the sounds of Crazy Train to start the day off well. We then enjoyed a variety of oatmeal flavors and fruit. Today was rotation day, which meant we had tons of activities. At 8 am, we started off with wakeboarding, kneeboarding, and waterskiing. Rangeley, Avery, and I were on the first boat out for kneeboarding, and that was super fun! At the same time, Jack, Carlos, and Yoni were on another boat wakeboarding. Then Hannah, Amelia, Aria, Taylor, Dylan, and Aubrie went for their turns on the water. Next, we learned how to tie up fenders and throw lines. We then had a relay race using the new skills we had learned (my team won). After a sandwich lunch break, we got in the water for scuba training. We took out first breaths underwater and learned many things about diving and what to do when things go wrong. Finally, we ended the rotation day with a relaxing paddle around the anchorage. To end the day, we had a delicious chili and rice dinner and then rode Sumo (the dinghy) off into the sunset.
