Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Today was one of few mornings in which we could truly bask in the calm air around us. Flamingos soared over the boat whilst we enjoyed the peace. On most mornings we rise with a sense of urgency; running toward the day as if it could somehow escape us. But today was different, today we set our sails late, gliding over the water amongst the seabirds. Stella, Casey, and I read while the Blue Lagooners (Lorelai, Kate, Maya, and Cellery) tanned on the trampoline. The rest of the boat reclaimed the sleep indebted to them by the days before. We arrived at GHP in time for a banquet of uncured ham within a couplet of bleached wheat flour bread. After we finished our feast we descended below the waves for a search and rescue dive. We utilized various patterns and techniques to locate two lift bags. Jackson and Casey went first, finishing the dive with ease. Stella and I were next, but were hindered by a faulty compass. Luckily our skills were not faulty. Ava, Ash, and Maya sped through with similar Ease, but Kate and Lorelai had to surface due to problems equalizing. Meanwhile, Cameron, Cellery, and Audrey went on a deep dive all the way down to 80 feet. They saw a barracuda and cracked an egg to witness the effects of water pressure. After we all finished our dives we went water skiing. Jackson showed off with his mono-ski skills, but everyone else spent most of their time biting the water. We arrived home to a scrumptious dinner of risotto, chicken, and caesar salad made by Lorelai and Casey with love. Now, we are all getting ready for a dive chat together in the salon.
