Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Today started with Matty P blasting his favorite wake-up song from the SpongeBob musical, followed by some Hamilton. While we were jamming out, a delicious breakfast of French toast was served by the chefs Maya and Ava. We cleaned up breakfast, and the rescue divers got ready for their search and recovery dive. They were joined by Player Fields (dive instructor) from Why Knot to assist. While they were diving, the Neptunes decided to have a chill morning. Cameron snorkeled while Ellery and I lay out. During the dive, the lift bags broke, so many did not get to complete all the skills. After, we sailed to Levricks Bay to have some phone time and get lunch. Lorelai and Kate got lunch on shore, and Ash and Jackson bought lots of snacks. It was so nice to get some phone time to call family. Once the phones were put away, the Neptunes went on Why Knot so the Rescues could work on EFRs. We finally got back together and got ready for the best part of the day, the barbecue.
When we walked to the barbecue, Lorelai got to meet up with her parents. Lots of good food was eaten at the barbecue, and then the star of the show—DJ Heavybeats, aka the best DJ in the BVI. We had a blast dancing to all of his tune,s especially Casey, Ash, and Adien. Second Wind was really holding down the dance floor as we got Matty P and Sela to join us. The highlight of the night was Maya and Ellery getting Heavybeats to play our SpongeBob wake-up song. We got back to the boat wayyy past our bedtimes (9:45) and hit the hay. It was such a good day, and many fun times were had.
