First full day! We woke up in Tortola with all the other boats. We started our day with cereal for breakfast. Then we had a huge meeting with everyone. We talked with Mike about guidelines and expectations while on our trip. Odyssey was having some battery troubles this morning, so we all went to the market across the street to get snacks and drinks while the boat was being fixed. Finally, we were off with a brand-new set of batteries! We sailed up until around lunchtime, which was peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. We took a mid-day stop to jump in the water. We took the swim test (5 laps around the boat and 10 minutes of treading), and everyone passed! Then we got back on the boat, and once again, we were off to our next destination. We had a 3-hour boat ride filled with reading, friendship bracelets, and naps in the sun. Once we anchored, it was Sloppy Joe’s and mashed potatoes for dinner. After we ate, everyone cleaned off. Lastly, we finished the night with our first dive chat!
