Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Today, we woke up to sailing. The destination was the beautiful and iconic Baths. We swam to shore, and our steps on the beach were our first ones on land since we began our trip. We took a small but eventful trek through large rocks to a cliff jumping spot, where we jumped off. Freddy did a very impressive dive, which caused a great chuckle from the peanut gallery. Afterward, we headed back home (our boat, Odyssey) and began sailing to Spanish Town for a great adventure on the shore. We docked the boat and took out some spending cash. We were all very hungry, so we headed to a nearby restaurant. The boys and I had a burger, and most girls had chicken Caesar wraps and (virgin) strawberry daiquiris. After lunch, we all went to a surf shop, and Carson got a stylish new fedora made of 100% hemp. Catherine, Molly, and Rachel got matching toe rings; Tucker got a SunBum paddle set. The girls went to the grocery store and stocked up on snacks and drinks. We returned, once again, back home (Odyssey), where we filled up our water tank before leaving.
We sailed for a few hours to our resting place for the night. Ella, Jordan, and Tucker helped raise the sail. Along the way, we saw dolphins! Once anchored, Tucker brought out his paddles and hit the ball around with Freddy when, unfortunately, one of his balls was hit into the Caribbean. Brig jumped into the ocean very enthusiastically to successfully save the ball. Rachel and Alyssa began making dinner, cooking beef stroganoff, and preparing a salad. Tyler was on aux and played music, and we all jammed out to it while working on our jobs. Tucker, Claire, and Freddie cleaned dishes, and Greta and Carson dried them. After dinner, we had our first sail chat led by Arden, and we learned the points of sail. Now night night <3
