Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Today’s day started off with a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast to give us energy for our morning activities of water skiing, wakeboarding, and knee boarding. Freddy showed skill in his water skiing, Claire also excelled in her wakeboarding, and the knee boarding was dominated by Rachel. After we finished the water sports, we learned to drive, park, and pick up fallen passengers in the dinghies. Molly did particularly well at this. We also practiced tying knots, we raced against each other to see who could tie the fastest knots .this was dominated by Tucker until the end when Catherine heroically defeated him.
After our eventful morning, we fueled up for the rest of the day with chicken salad sandwiches that were prepared by our chef and sous chef, Molly and Catherine; during this time, Greta got her hair masterfully braided by Ella. After lunch, we duoed up and got in Zest boats. Controlling these boats proved difficult because everyone got their boats flipped except for Tucker, Brig, Ella, and Claire, who were able to keep their boat from flipping with their sailing skills. Carson decided to abandon his boat to attempt to help some struggling sailors, but his boating partner decided to leave him behind to go on his own sailing adventure.
After zest boating, we started our training to go scuba diving. This was new and scary for some, but Jordan was able to bravely push through her fear. This training was a great experience for many, especially Alyssa, who was able to see a stingray while underwater.
