Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island

As our trip is starting to come to an end, as per usual, we all woke up to rock music specifically “Wake Me Up Inside” to start the day. We quickly ate some cereal and oatmeal to get ready for the long day. The Neptunes (Liam, Alexandre, and Rudy) headed over to Good Times (another boat in the AQ fleet) to finish up their wreck dive certifications, and after they took their tests, they ended up with an average of 95%! Meanwhile, the rest of the boat, along with some students from Good Times, came along to set sail to Dead Man’s Bay to go turtle tagging. Robbie, Grace, Madison, and I were able to spot six turtles and some stingrays, including a baby one, a really pretty sea star, and a barracuda, while Gabrielle, Lucy, and Elise also spotted some stingrays and two turtles. Although we weren’t fast enough to grab the turtles. Eventually, Shannon (a member of ARK BVI) found a really cute turtle we were able to look at and write some measurements down. After our successful trip, we ate some Mac n Cheese for lunch and headed over to the Blue Chromis dive site, where we said our goodbyes to the Good Times students and set up our dive gear to check it out. Robbie, Lucy, Gabrielle, Madison, and I had fun diving and did some silly activities like backflips and the iconic wobble dance underwater. Soon after, we set sail back to Great Harbor Peter Island, where we are right now to eat dinner (Mexican Night!!!), present our research projects for the Dolphin students, and, most notoriously, our mega raft with all of the diveside boats + Minerva (a separate program at AQ). We cannot wait to see all of our families soon, but we promise we are making the most of the time we have left with our shipmates!
