Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Good evening, parents. We are all very sad this session is coming to an end; with that said, we have been making the most of our final days together. We had a little bit of an early wake-up today, at 6:45 ish, listening to heavy metal. We soon went underway to the dock we left at the beginning of the trip. Lucy’s camera fell in the water while docking; she definitely should’ve 40-40’d it. Cara then used her freediving skills to swim to the bottom (it was 35 feet); thankfully, she was successful. Everyone then cleaned their rooms and we all headed to shore. Madison’s very hyped-up coffee shop was pretty good if we are telling the truth (Madison believes we didn’t like it). It didn’t take long for us to adventure to the shops. Grace, with her mom in mind, bought her a couple of gifts. We made our way to an art gallery where Marin and Gabrielle loved the dog, which reminded them of theirs. Our next stop was the dive shop which wasn’t too good; I needed a dive log and couldn’t get one because they didn’t have one, which sucked. But Elise did get a gator, which most of us have bought by now. The last store, we thought, was the grocery store, where we got snacks and drinks. Rudy then came up with a plan that we should buy all the staff gifts and cards to show our appreciation for all they do. Alex and I got hot sauce for Cara, yes of course we found the hottest bottle. Robbie then got Drano, mayonnaise, and cat food for Kaleigh and Will.
Finally, Gene was given kiwis, and without realizing they were grown where he lives, which made us laugh when we found out. The final shop we went to was a gift shop to get them all cards, and then we all got postcards so we could all sign each other in memory of each other. No need to start crying now, parents. It gets even more sad. Everyone got back on the boat, and we sailed back to GHP, where we took a super dinghy, then went wakeboarding, and Kaleigh did zoomies. We then set up our dive gear for the night dive that we are going on tonight. After setting up the gear, we ate dinner, which was breakfast for dinner. Dad, I know you are smiling because you love it. We all did a squeeze and then gave the gifts to the staff. If you are a person who cries at kinda sad things, I would recommend a box of tissues. The staff was all surprised by the cards and gifts we gave them.
We could tell the two girls began to tear up, and they all said that was the nicest thing a crew had done for them. With that being said, we all had a group hug, and then everyone gave each of the staff a hug. Then we raised a bottle of hot sauce and all took a finger drop of it as a cheers for the amazing trip so far. Now, we are going on our night dive, but we are excited to come home soon and so sad to leave each other at the same time. Sending our love from the BVI. Almost forgot we all saw bioluminescence on the night dive. Robbie and I did a whole dive on our own without staff.
