Day 2
We woke up bright and early on the dock to eat cereal and have our annual mike briefing. It was so nice to see old boatmates being staff members. We got a refresher on how to wash our bodies ( with our fingernails), say our please, and thank you. Then we took off on a beautiful sail and bonded by getting slight matching sunburns. Daisy, Player, David, Jake, and I sat around chit chattering. The whole boat seems to have a great dynamic. We listened to DJoshDJosh’slist, and it was perfect. After denial and bargaining all day, we got prepped for our swim test.

We jumped in the water and got ready to do eight laps around the boat in under 11 mins time. We passed! Kai came in first, Lizzie came in second place, and I came in last. The second part of the swim test was treading water for 15 mins and holding our hands out of the water for the last two. Sally had the genius idea t” “d””b” “ur”ng this time when our hands were out of the water, so we all did that, and it looked really cool. We then had a fun dive that was indeed a lot of fun. We saw two stingrays, Anzie was my buddy and we made sure to inform each other with vigorous pointing. Then, for lunch, we all ate at least three sandwiches before we went back to sailing. Till we found the rest of the AQ fleet. We took an ocean shower, which we can all agree is, for some reason, our favorite part of ActionQuest. Then Claire and Josh made pretty good Sloppy Joe’s. Now, we are all reading our Diver Master manual in hopes of earning more points than our swim tests.
