Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay

Today was another great day in paradise. We started the day early to the same music is always that we have memorized morning after morning. We pulled up our anchor and raised our sails and we were off. Almost as soon as the sails were up Shona threw our man overboard dummy into the ocean and the boat sprung into action to save our fender from the waves. Once we hauled it back into the boat we did it again, and again, and again. We had done it so many times we can do it sleeping. Now that this drill was implanted into our minds forever, we decided it was time to get going. With all the boys on the jib sheets, we unfolded our headsail and sailed onto Sandy Spit. Once we arrived we dropped two anchors and everyone breathed a sigh of relief as we took off our PFDs and jumped into the water. After a day in the heat, the water felt like ice. We pushed our boom all the way out and tied a rope swing to the end. After about an hour of swinging, diving, and flipping, we all climbed in the dinghy and went to the beach. As we all got ready for the barbecue we had the realization that our trip was coming to a close. We are all having the greatest time and don’t want this trip to end. date: Aug 10, 2017
