Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Hello! My name is Sedora, and I am the skipper of the day. Today was another rotation day; however, it was unlike our normal rotation days. Due to the need to complete the various confined water and open water tasks associated with obtaining our open water diving certification, we had to extend our rotations to 4 hours each. This means that some boats had a day full of diving and seeing cool fish!
Alpenglow was one of the boats on which we could practice our sailing skills all day instead. Reid, Evan, and Lorelai took to the helm at the beginning of our sailing trip. They were all really good! Meanwhile, Mar and Krisi were having fun in the salon singing Disney songs from Moana and Frozen. Surprisingly, Ella was able to take a nap through some of this, even through the singing.
For lunch today, we had ramen noodles that were prepared by Gabby and Laila. It was delicious, and everyone was full afterward. When we were stopped for lunch, we took a quick dip in the water. Angie and Elias did some really cool backflips off of our dinghy. We all had so much fun! For a snack while underway, Vanessa made us all peanut butter, banana, and honey sandwiches. They were so good! We all arrived back at Mountain Point to take our showers and eat our Thanksgiving dinner. We finished the night off with a sail chat with Riley. Today was so much fun, and everyone had a great time.
P.S. They made me scoop butter with my hands!
