Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda

To begin the day, we had a nice small hike on the Mountain Point National Trail, where we enjoyed each other’s company. Elias was in the back of the group to make sure nobody was left behind. While it wasn’t the easiest or well-maintained trail, it was still satisfying to make it all the way to the top. In addition, they were even more hyped to go scuba diving because this meant they would get in the water.

During scuba diving, Ella stayed outside since she wasn’t feeling well. However, Reid was accompanied by three other shipmates (Elias, Evan, and Lorelai). Today, they practiced peak buoyancy, which entailed being still underwater for one minute and swimming through a tiny hoola hoop. Furthermore, everyone in the open water course did an excellent job of not drowning and loved seeing sting rays!

The next rotation we had was water sports with two dinghies. The first dinghy included Reid, Evan, Angie, and Vanessa. The second dinghy included Elias, Sedora, Mar, and myself! The first boat mostly enjoyed relaxing and taking in the sun. Although for us, we did a wide range of activities such as water skiing (which Elias did an insane jump), knee boarding (which I did a great 360 on the water), and wave-boarding (to which Mar did an extraordinary job at doing two 360s and a backflip). Even though Sedora didn’t do any of the activities, she was very happy to help people get back on the dinghy.

Last but not least, we had paddle boarding. During the rotation, I enjoyed watching Elias and Mar constantly fall off the board. Then, I decided to join them and pool them back to the boat. Meanwhile, Evan, Reid, Lorelai, and Angie had so much fun doing flips off the dinghy from the main boat, Shamwari.

To conclude, the day was full of various activities and adventures, such as hiking, scuba diving, water sports, paddle boarding, and so much more. We ended the day with scuba test retakes and preparation for the final exam tomorrow. At the same time, the advanced scuba diving group is so excited for their night dive tonight.
