Hello, I’m Freddy, and I am skipper of the day. Today we started with a lovely breakfast served to us by the brilliant chef Jordan with assistance from the sous chef Carson, whom i should mention is food safety certified from dominos, so we all had high expectations. Today’s breakfast was scrambled eggs, which were cooked to perfection. Then afterward, Rachel, Alyssa, Ella, and Greta detached us from the mooring balls, and we headed off for our first sailing trip. We had a sublime first trip assisted by our enthusiastic professionals, Garrett and Arden. Early in the trip, Brig and Molly hoisted the main sail and got us ready for the trip. Claire had the most important job, which was to tend the dingy, which could ruin the propeller of the boat, so bravo, Claire. There were strong winds, and the sea was quite choppy, which made it a great time as we gained speed. While we sailed, our professionals split us into groups, which would have specific roles while sailing. These groups rotated jobs ever so often so that each person got to try each role. A noteworthy mention goes to Tucker, who sailed the boat while we tacked, which is an impressive feat that he did with great skill. Catherine helped us understand the points of sail and ensured we maintained our course. Today, we sailed for 5 hours, starting at 8:00 and ending at 13:00, so we had to eat lunch while sailing. This proved difficult as the constantly swaying boat made it hard to add toppings to our sandwiches. Soon after lunch, we stopped and arrived at our destination. Mountain Point.
Once we arrived, we had nothing more planned, so we simply relaxed, talked to one another, and had a good time. As well as talking, we often went swimming, where we saw a turtle and a jellyfish, which was a majestic and magical experience with nature. After swimming, we took our daily swim/shower and got ready for dinner, which will once again be prepared for us by the wonderful chef and our food safety-certified sous chef.
We admire all the crew members who bravely piloted this great vessel, and we also send our admiration to those of you back in America.
