Hi, I’m Ollie, and today was an eventful one. We started it off by waking, and our staff left us with a difficult job of pancake making. Luckily, Grayson and LuLu were the chefs of the day and made the perfect amount of pancakes for all of us with no complaints. After, we kids were left with our own entertainment, keeping each other company while waiting for our staff member to come back from the meeting with Mike. Once our staff came back, our special guest arrived. He was Dave, and he is the “man behind the scenes” who does the social media for ActionQuest. Our boat, Shamwari, got picked not by luck but because of our awesome energy and aura. We then set sail off into our watch groups, the first being Wilkes, Meredith, Thompson, and Grayson. These four were in charge of sailing the boat from the helm or, in simpler terms, the steering wheel. The second group being me, Hopie, Lucy, and Ella W were in charge of the sails. This means that we trimmed the sails, either tightening or loosening them depending on the direction of the wind. Lastly, the third group was LuLu, Josie, Ella S, and Joshua, who had the rest time. We then, for about 3 hours, sailed in circles, practicing driving and trimming the boats and their sail while one was sleeping and the other was working. We then set down for lunch in a beautiful cove, where we had Mac N Cheese and a lot of swimming. Keep in mind everyone was being filmed throughout most of the day, so maybe in the future, check up on the action quest Instagram, and you’ll see us there. After lunch, for about another 4 hours, we rotated our group from the trimming to the driving and the driving to the resting. Every group got a chance to do all three activities. After a long day of acting for the camera and practicing sailing, we anchored and finally got our laundry picked up. Our dinner was a tasty chili and rice, and we ended the night with a beautiful sunset.
