Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda

Today we were all able to sleep in an extra thirty minutes and woke up to the sun shining in the sky. A few group members decided to start sleeping in our hammocks, so Eliza, Georgia, Charles, Max, and I all woke up sandwiched next to each other in the cockpit. Brij, our Sous Chef, started the morning off with breakfast burritos and blueberry muffins. At 8 am, we started our fourth rotation day with games and relays. For the first relay, we had to tie a clove hitch on the line, grab a life jacket, paddle a paddle board to a certain point, and then turn and return to the boat, where we would wait for the rest of our team to finish their rounds. After the relay, a few people played “Fender rodeo”, a game that was also played in the boat Olympics, in which Reese Rut dominated all the other players. After the games, we had a sail chat where we all learned about the safety procedures on our boat and what to do in a man-over-board situation. We sat down for another fantastic meal by Brij, grilled cheese! For a sweet treat after lunch, Sophie grabbed her Nutella from the fridge, not knowing that it was so frozen that it bent the spoon she used! After lunch, we gathered for our second time to go scuba diving, where Reese Roth and Reid couldn’t stop laughing during one of our skills. We came back from scuba diving and immediately hopped onto the speed boats for watersports, where Lila “shredded the nar” on a wakeboard. Reid almost lost his hat twice off the dinghy, but Annika saved it. Everyone came home exhausted except Charles, who used his free time to organize all of the sail lines. Everyone else sat in the salon listening to Hamilton the music, and Enya jammed out, singing all the words. For dinner, we had a chicken Caesar salad with risotto made by Matty P. We finished the night with a Taylor Swift cleanup sesh and a short sail chat on collisions and navigation taught by Maddy P and Annika. Bye!
