Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Today, our wonderful Good Times shippies woke up to a devious surprise. A mysterious boat wrote” “Helloy’all” in ketchup on the table! They also sprinkled cereal and deli meat all over as well. But need not fret, as an intelligent shippie by the name of Henry had a bright idea to get those menaces back! “Take three forks so they don’t have enough for everyone, and they fight over it,” he said. Unfortunately, another intelligent shippie by the name of Emma reminded us that pranks were banned because someone put rocks in Mr.Quest (Mike’s dinghy earlier this session. These disappointed shippies quickly got into a chipper mood as Ruby and Diego started making pancakes for breakfast! After breakfast, we learned that our compressor (air-filler-upper) was broken…for the second time! So instead of diving, Ruby, Nina, Diego, Ben, Mimi, and Pablo snorkeled instead…way to make lemonade out of lemons, right? Thankfully, our beloved counselors Kyler and Lindsay brought Ruby, Ben, Mimi, Emma, and Nina kneeboarding!! Nina was hesitant at first but was able to kneeboard with NO HANDS! And Emma was able to STAND UP on the kneeboard! Yay, talented shipping…but the shippies aren’t the only talented ones…
Kyler kneeboarded as well and did some awesome tricks! Go, Kyler! Then, to the event of the day…ROAD TOWN!!! At Road Town, Stormy got a grilled salmon, and Alexis got fries and a Sprite. Antonio, Ben, and Henry had a great lunch as well. These well-fed shippies made their way back onto Good Times because we were sailing to Norman Bight. Diego, Humphrey, and Pablo spent time playing Brawl Stars in the saloon and on the dinghy ride back to the boat. At Normal Bight we had a quick but enjoyable snorkel! Emma pet a turtle which gave Pablo, Diego, and Humphrey the idea of catching it for turtle tagging! They successfully caught the turtle, but Kyler intelligently realized that they should put the turtle back, as we didn’t have the resources to turtle tag it at the moment. We snorkeled into a cave, and Mimi’s fin was taken by the evil sea monsters (Pablo, Humphrey, and Diego). Not to worry though, as Emma and Nina helped return it to the proper owner. Back on the boat, Humphrey was elated because his mom texted him that he was getting a cat! We all congratulated him joyfully. Then, we did a brief sail to Norman Island which is where we are staying for the night. It was all fun and games until the counselors told us they were leaving us forever (for 2 hours) and that we would have to fend for ourselves (make dinner). Mimi quickly braidedKyler’ss hair so hewouldn’tt have to go to his staff meeting looking silly. Today’s dinner was cheddar broccoli pasta, which, of course, wasn’t a problem for the talented Ruby, Diego, and Ben! These shippies had a lovely and delightful dinner, with some feeling the second-to-last-day blues. The counselors came back to the amazingly responsible Antonio, Stormy, Henry, and Pablo doing dishie pit! Now, we are about to do our last forum night activity: writing cards to everyone!
