Day 1 Staff Introductions!
Location: West End, Tortola
Hello to parents, grandparents, and friends. This is your staff and showrunners for GOOD TIMES Session 2: Lindsay, Maeve, and Kyler, coming to you from our home dock in Soper's Hole, Frenchman's Cay in Tortola. We are beyond excited to meet our boat fam and get underway to start the many adventures and good times that await (see what we did there). Our sails are ready to be filled with wind, and the beautiful blue waters await our dives.
Stay tuned to hear about our daily adventures from one student every day.
But for now, it's time to meet the staff;
Lindsay - Skipper and Dive Instructor
He hails from Ireland and has happily hung up his waterproofs for Caribbean-style sailing with flip-flops and sunscreen. If he's not looking for our next anchorage, you'll probably find him looking for turtles or nudibranchs underwater.
Maeve - Dive Instructor and Medic
Maeve is from a small Australian Island, where after exploring all over the land, she learned to dive to discover a whole new perspective of her home. Nowadays, she spends her time between the tropics of Australia and the cooler waters of Ireland, but she is stoked to be exploring the BVIs this summer! She also loves free diving and baking and is excited to help out the shipmates in the kitchen and take epic photo shoots for our shippies on snorkeling trips.
Kyler - Dive Instructor and Marine Biologist
Kyler grew up worldwide, being born in Australia and moving to the UK and Canada. Kyler is now undertaking a Master's in Marine Biology at the University of Southampton in the UK. Kyler joined ActionQuest as a student in 2016, then attended the following year, and proceeded to do a Go Beyond trip in 2018. In early 2023, Kyler became a PADI dive instructor, earning his ICC powerboating license, ready to ski and wakeboard the shipmates. He hopes to earn his Yachtmaster in time for 2025! Kyler spent much of his time growing up diving and skiing and exploring all the corners of the world. He is ready to explore the beautiful underwater world of the BVI with the next generation of AQ students and wants to share the same experience he received, like getting caught in your hammock when it rains!
