Location: The Bight, Norman Island

Day 19 started off pretty slow, with most of us sleeping into 8:30, which felt like 3 pm since I hadn’t slept in the past 7:15 for the past three weeks. It was nice to have a relaxing morning and get some cereal in for breakfast. Later on in the morning, Dylan, Bea, Charley, Cahan, Katie, and I would leave with James to go kneeboarding, skiing, and wakeboarding. Dylan set a new PR of 46 360 turns on the kneeboard, and most of us wondered how he wasn’t puking while doing it. Bea had a couple of good runs on the skis and stayed on for a long time! After that, we all headed back to the quad-raft to really start the day. Around 10:30, all the boats in the raft would start to head out to Road Town.

We headed out of GHP for shore time in Road Town. Kaya, Katie, and I would have an interesting and long restaurant experience. Even though it might have taken 2 hours to get food, it was pretty good. Aidan and Cahan had a nice encounter with a nice lady at the restaurant they ate at. Like always, everyone found their way to the local market to stock up on drinks and snacks for the last time on the trip. Sophie found some really good mangos that Maggie would eventually eat later on in the day. After we all were back on the boat, we started our journey to Norman Island, where we would spend the night. On the way there, Erich tried new ways of setting the jib. Some of the ways may have been controversial, but he may be onto something. Once we were set on our mooring ball, we started showers and dinner, we all realized it was our last ocean shower, so we all really cherished the moment and had a lot of fun. After dinner and clean up was done, we would have a spontaneous dance party on the hard top and in the cock pit. All of us were having a lot of fun, and we even got a head bob from Xander! Later on in the night, we would start a GXG tradition of card night. This is where we all rights notecards to each other about our journey together throughout the trip. It was a long night for everyone, some of us staying up until 12:30 finishing the cards or trying to finish the cards, leading to a lack of sleep for a group of us, including James. Even though it was a long night, it was a lot of fun. As we head into the last day, we are trying to have as much fun with each other as possible and cherish every moment together!
