Location: Marina Cay
Our crew started the day off with cereal and milk. Around 8 am, as we prepared to lift up the anchor, the girl’s bathroom began to flood. We called up mike to come help. As Mike began to fix the plumbing, we slept for a little until Henry, Philippe, Bodi, Towns, Jack, and I began to play a game of cards. Soon after Mike had left, we tried to start up the engine with no success. We quickly called Mike back to come help. We found the problem to be with the alternator (Which I knew all along). Finally, around 10:15, two hours after we were supposed to leave, we took sail.
As we approached Trellis Bay with towns at the wheel, we were met with a lightning storm. Thunderstruck was put on the speakers as some retreaded into the salon while a few stayed to be drenched by the rain. When we finally arrived, we hopped onto a dinghy to set foot on land. I was greeted by a black and white cat, with whom I spent some time hanging out. Around 10 minutes later, we found a place to eat. When taking the bill, we were met with a receipt with an 18% tip put on by the servers themselves. After paying the 200$+ check, we went to explore the bay. As we were exploring we found a shop where a few of us bought shirts. Soon I found myself with Philippe looking for a coconut and the girls went to hang out with some kids form the other boats. I managed to find two more cats on the island. Soon enough, we were all sitting under a canopy wondering where Sloane had gone; she, in fact, was 30 minutes away from getting checked out by the doctor. As we began to leave the island after being there for 3 hours, we started a plan to prank another boat. As we started to sail to where we were going to sleep tonight, we started a race with one of the other boats. Although we lost the race we managed to acquire a decent spot to sleep. We took our ocean showers and enjoyed tortellini made by Natalia and Bodie. We had a fairly chill day fished by a meeting inside the boat.
