Maddie-
Hey everyone! This morning we started our day off in Marina Cay with some fresh pancakes and fruit courtesy of Henry and Phillippe. Then, at 9:30, we embarked on a quick journey to Trellis Bay, where we were greeted by the Go Beyond group and a taxi that took us up a windy road to Aragorns Farm. To start off our day of service, Juliet, Sadie, and I pulled weeds and spread dirt and mulch in the garden. Bodin, George, Henry, Jack, and Phillippe put their strength to the test as they cleaned up and relocated the dirt with shovels and wheelbarrows #grinding. Sloane, Townes, and Natalia picked fruit and peppers for the farm. At 2:00, we enjoyed rejuvenating peanut butter and Jelly breaks to fuel us for our last hour and a half of work, where we moved rocks and dirt together – assembly line style. The peppers were all fun and games until ghost peppers were found, and the boys were given a spicy taxi ride back down the hill. Our ride down the hill also included many elite naps, myself included. When we got back to the boat, we were greeted with clean laundry, and we began motor sailing to Musk Mellon. Stella, Sadie, and I killed it putting up the jib. We made it to Musk Mellon and did a great job anchoring the boat. While everyone ocean showered, Phillip and Henry cooked up a delicious chili dinner, even though most bowls only included rice and hot sauce. We ended our night with a music-filled dishy pit and new sleepy sacks #stayinghygenic. Today was a great day of service and fun – stay tuned for day 13 :).
