Today was an interesting day. The group woke up at 7 am to a choppy morning. Will told us that we were going to do some water sports, and George was eager to cover himself with sunscreen from head to toe. After we finished our breakfast burritos, we went out into two groups to try our luck in wakeboarding and knee boarding. My group was impressed by Bodin’s skills clinging onto the kneeboard while the waves tossed him around. After, Stella went and shredded on the knee board, going left and right and doing different tricks. Then George and I tried our luck and ended up plummeting into the water after a big wave. To finish off, Juliet and Maddie did some wakeboarding and stayed on for an impressive amount of time.
After our water sports, we were told that we were going to motor over to Spanish Town. Jack and Henry were so excited to interact with the local townsmen because they learned some new cool slang. On the trip to the Spanish Town, everyone took a peaceful nap, and when I looked up, I saw Bodin sleeping next to me. When we got there, we immediately went to get snacks. Stella, Natalia, and I were walking to the shop when we were surprised by the fast cars going on the roads in Spanish town. After shopping and buying all the snacks we could possibly get, I sat down with Henry and Jack and enjoyed the scorching Caribbean sun. After Townes and I took a long walk to the port, we were surprised to find Juliet, Sadie, and Maddie gulping a tub of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream. When we came back to the boat, we ate some ramen, which Sloane was really excited to eat. After lunch, we took our daily post-lunch nap. When dinner was served, I was really surprised by the flavor of the turkey. Then we took our ocean showers at sunset with a boom swing that Will and Zoe so kindly set up for us. Now, some people will swim with the tarpon in the water, and Henry and I will cook the group some brownies. Overall, today was a great day with fun activities but also sea sickness. Today, I can mark the halfway point of our trip, and we know that when the trip comes to an end, we will be sad to say goodbye to Glad2BHere and Will, Zoe, and Aidan. See you tomorrow!
