Racing Towards West End

Location: Great Harbor, Jost van Dyke

The day started with a sailing race from Sandy Spit to West End. Erich, Dylan, Celeste, and I raised the sails while everyone else kept the hype up. Even though we didn’t win the race, the whole group was excited for shore time in West End, where we stocked up on snacks for the last few days. After lunch on shore, we started our sail to GHP, where we are spending the night. Charlie and Celeste both manned the helm while Erich and Katie tried out new jib-trimming techniques. While we were sailing, Aiden, Bea, Cahan, Maggie, Sophie, and Kaya played card games below deck. When we got to GHP, we anchored and rafted with Shape Up for the night. Erich and Aiden cooked dinner, which was Mexican night, and they both did a very good job.
