Location: West End, Tortola
We woke up at 7 with loud music, as usual. We had cereal for breakfast before I went to the skipper meeting. At the skipper meeting, they discussed the plans for the boat race. They also got the order from the windward to leeward starting points. The race was from Sandy Spit to West End. During the meeting, the others got ready to race. Margret gave us colored sunscreen for face paint and played music to hype us up. As we got ready for the race, Daisy, Alex, and Delfina raised the mainsail. It got stuck in the lazy jacks, but Lawson noticed, and we fixed it. When the race began, we turned to a beam reach where the wind hit the side of the sails. To get more speed, Liam, Graham, and Reed released the jib. During the race, Beso del Viento was right next to us and started throwing food. They missed a lot, but Devyn got hit by an apple. In the middle of the race, Hayes took the helm and brought us to the finish line. We ended up getting 4th, but Beso got dead last. When we moored in West End at 10:30, we took a dingy to town for shopping, where we all got food. A lot of people went to the supermarket to get snacks. When we left West End, we started going to Road Town. On the way over, there were massive waves, and Tony and Violet lay on the trampoline screaming about Vector getting soaked by the massive waves. When we finally arrived at the marina, we had dinner, which was Mexican night (tortillas, beans, meat, cheese, and tomatoes). When Devyn was bringing out the meat, she tripped and dropped a lot of it, so another counselor from a different boat had to give us some extra meat. After dinner me and Tomas played odds where the loser had to eat a spoon of hot sauce I ended up losing. After that, we did a squeeze and cleaned the boat, We ended the night by chilling and making brownies. I can’t wait for tomorrow
