Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
We started the day in Musk Melon Bay, where we had a chaos rotation after eating some yummy oatmeal and melon for breakfast. Chaos rotation day means that if you weren’t in the dive rotation, you could do whatever you wanted. Delfina, Alex, and Hayes went zesting. At the same time, Lawson, Daisy, Violet, Thomas, and Devin stayed on the boat and talked to the kids on Shamwari, and Antonio, Liam, Reed, and Graham went paddle boarding. Once it was our turn to dive, we headed over to Highlander and got suited up to dive. We dove to a max of 40 feet and saw lots of stingrays. Tony and Lawson saw a school of squid, which Tony said he had never seen, and then Antonio saw a really big lobster. The dive today got most of the boat open water dive certified except for Daisy and Thomas, who had trouble equalizing unwatered, but they will make it up soon. After the dive, we came back to our boat, ate some food, and relaxed. Then, we pulled up our anchor and went to the cane garden to get water. Lawson and Tony had to chase us down in the little dinghy, leaving. After we got there, we went to a sandy spit where we anchored, took showers, and got ready for the barbecue on an island with just sand and two trees. We also swam in the water and played with a football and frisbee. The food was burgers, hotdogs, cookies, and beans. Lots of beans. After dinner, we did our own thing. People went to play football with other boats while others took photos of the sunset or just talked to other boats. After we got back, pure joy was on our boat, so we talked with them for a little bit. After they left, Alex and Delfina went to read on the bow while everyone else played BS. It looks like they are going to go to sleep earlier tonight. Daisy has a dive really early in the morning to make her miss one to get certified, and others need extra sleep to sleep off some sickness and have a good day tomorrow.
