Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
We started the day with delectable French Toast made by Galley Slave Breccan (no, like he actually has a Galley Slave hat) and Oey. The staff had all gone off to a meeting, so everyone completed a fast dishie pit, and soon we were off the dock and away sailing. Whilst sailing, our Skipper, Joey, aided us in conducting a man overboard drill, in which he threw over a buoy he named Bob, and we had to get it. Thanks to Sophie and Malika hooking him back on board, we were able to conduct CPR and save him š®āšØ.
Soon after we arrived at our dive spot called The Playground, we had our lunch of chicken salad! We also had a special guest with us: Blakeās sister, Maren, from Vela Vita. They got to be buddies, so Emme and I (Sophia) also got to be trudies (three buddies) with Blakeās usual buddy, Breccan! Amanda had been hoping to see a Giant Grouper named Gibby (GGG) that she had previously seen, but she, Blake, Maren, and Emme had seen something much better: a shark. Amanda says it was about 5 feet long, which is the biggest she claims to have ever seen. And, apparently, it also began to approach our group. I was (still am, actually) very upset, as though I was in the group, I did not see the shark š„², but neither did Breccan. However, some people from the other group (Brian, Oon, and Oey) saw a baby spotted eel!
Later, we went to a small island beach, where we all got to hang out for a little while. Mengmei and Oon swam around, Izzy and Oey talked for a little while in the sand, and Malika and Pierce skipped rocks in the ocean. Once we left the beach, we took our ocean showers and had our dinner of hot dogs, salad, cornbread, beans, and rice. Malika answered the first Squeeze question (whatās youāre greatest fear) with a very detailed and passionate speech, and she and Sophie revealed to us that they had lied about Canadian National Day and that it isnāt actually a thing.
Later today, some other staff members will come to our boat to do some paperwork with Amanda and Grace, and Joey and I will all do another Forum. Thatās our day, and thanks for reading!
