Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda

This morning, JT, Luke, and I started our day by heading over to BDV, the dive boat, to assist with dive rotations throughout the day. We left the rest of our crew on Avizia to start their first rotation. The Vega students started their rotation day with some paddle boarding. Spencer, Luke C, Katie, and Katherine managed to balance with the four of them on a single paddle board. Meanwhile, on the dive boat, we divemasters lead our first dive with the advanced open water divers during their check-out dive. Soon after, the Avizia crew members moved to their second rotation. Paige and Sophia loved the knot-tying skills they acquired during this rotation. After, they headed to water sports, and Ellie stood up during her first try at wakeboarding. Maya also mastered wakeboarding even though she was a first-timer. For the final rotation, everyone headed over to BDV to do their confined water dives one through three. I was paired with Beth and helped demo skills to Katherine, Ellie, and Anna. They all did amazing on their first dives, and from what I heard when we arrived at the surface, everyone else did as well. Finally, after a long day’s work, we headed back to Avizia to treat Tyler (the tank pumper) to dinner. Chili and rice were extremely rewarding after a fun but tiring day. After dinner, we did lifeworks and enjoyed some delectable chocolate chip cookies prepared by Chef Anna. Overall, such an amazing and fulfilling day. I can’t wait to go to The Baths tomorrow.

I made it here safe, Mom and Dad!
