Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
We started our morning with lovely bowls of cereal. We had rotations today, starting with Zesting and small boat sailing. This was many people’s first time sailing. At the start, Spencer fell off of his and Luke C’s boat, but after, they did great and had so much fun! Anna and I did super well sailing and had a super smooth jibe. Maya, Sofia, and Katie were so proud of themselves for not capsizing at all! Ellie and Paige capsized, and both ended up on the sail. Next, we spent time paddle boarding and getting some sun. Ellie really liked the sand and learned how to skip shells. Lunch was Mac and Cheese made by Anna. Our dive masters, Luke, Grace, and JT, practiced their navigation with the advanced open-water divers. After lunch, we had time to water ski, wakeboard, and kneeboard. Luke A had a blast while wakeboarding. The last rotation was snorkeling mangroves. We saw a large stingray, some nice-looking fish, upside-down jellyfish, feather dusters, baby barracuda, and a spider crab. After dinner, we had a dive chat with a quiz at the end that everyone passed.
